Swimathon
The Portishead Swimathon 2008
Saturday 10th May at Parish Wharf Leisure Centre, Portishead
The swimathon is an established and popular event in the local calendar, thoroughly enjoyed by all participants.
If you haven't been involved before please consider entering and joining in the fun and laughter of the day and the opportunity to benefit from the funds raised.
In 2007 60 teams took part and raised just over £9,000.
This year we are supporting:
St. Peter's Hospice, The Jessie May Trust,
Schools Projects
and local groups and charities
So, how does the Swimathon work?
Teams of six swim at their own pace (it's not a race) for 40minutes and through sponsorship RAISE AS MUCH MONEY AS POSSIBLE.
Schools, Guides, Brownies, Scouts, Clubs enter teams and many others also take part. Why not put in a team, or teams, to support your organisation.
You have the option to request up to 50% of what you raise!
